In most cases, DB2 OLAP Server and DB2 OLAP Integration Server require the minimal levels of ODBC drivers. If you install both products, check the following tables to make sure that you use an ODBC driver that meets the minimum requirements of both products.
MERANT (formerly INTERSOLV) ODBC driver version 4.0 is provided with
DB2 OLAP Server Version 8.1 SQL Interface. Additionally, DB2
OLAP Server also supports some non-MERANT Windows NT drivers, which are listed
in Table 9. These non-MERANT drivers are not provided with SQL
Interface.

Notes:
DB2 OLAP Integration Server provides MERANT 4.0 ODBC drivers for AIX, HP-UX, Solaris Operating System, Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows XP.
ODBC drivers used with DB2 OLAP Integration Server must be thread-safe. All drivers listed in Table 10 are thread-safe. HP-UX requires kernel-threads. Solaris Operating System requires Solaris threads, and AIX requires kernel-threads with pthread API.
