A friend and customer sent along a picture of a newspaper page showing
a story about the technique of mindmapping being taught in a local
highschool. See article here. Enjoy!
MindMap/LX Version 2.0
Released: 20 November 2001
Availability: Download MM.ZIP
Installation: This version removes the registration code. Which means
you do not need the information for registration (as presented on November
16, 2001.) Installation directions are simple: Please create a directory and
place MM.ZIP in it. Unzip the package. Enjoy using the program. Author is
aware of certain open issues. AFAIK there is no schedule to close them. But
the more you use the program and provide feedback, I believe it will help
sway the author to make changes :-) ...
MindMap/LX is now COPYRIGHTED FREEWARE
Released: 16 November 2001

program to remove its limitation.
MindMap/LX (MM/LX) Version 1.1a
Released: 24 August 2001
Availability: Download MM.ZIP from our FTP sites:
Main FTP site,
Alternative FTP site.
Installation: Customers who purchased a license, please refer to your
LICENSE INFORMATION email sent to you when you purchased the license.
MM.ZIP contains MM.CFG. If you overwrite you existing MM.CFG,
including any settings you may have changed and your registration!
You have two options:
- When unpacking archive file MM.ZIP in the same directory where the
current MM/LX is installed, PKUNZIP will ask if it should OVERWRITE
MM.CFG. Reply "N" for no.
- First rename MM.CFG to something like MMCFG.ORG, then unpack the
archive file MM.ZIP overwriting ALL the files. Reregister MM/LX
using the instructions on the Licese Information email. Compare the
new MM.CFG with your old MMCFG.ORG and adjust the settings you had.
- This is a bug fix release. The only difference is
that after calling an external program the directory is set to what it
was before the call. (The bug was that it was set to the directory in which
mm.exe resides).

We thank all our customers who voiced their opinions and provided invaluable
input. I believe that nearly every item on the list below was initiated by
a customer! In other words: We Listen! So you keep telling us...
- After an external program is called, the original directory is
restored.
- in the MM.CFG, HTMLFont= (with nothing after the "=") prevents
creation of any tags when exporting the mindmap to HTML. This
means that the standards of your browser will take over, and if your
installation has standard CSS, these specifications will be in force.
- When creating a new map, an empty map is now the default instead of
a template).
- Movement with Alt key was removed. Only the new cursor movement is
supported (saved some code).
- CFG Change: HTMLSize= specifies font size.
- HTML export no longer "eats" leading spaces, so if you have a nice
table in the Note, it will not be destroyed. To display it in your
HTML page, use <PRE> in front of the table and </PRE> after the
table. This pair of tags prevents HTML from applying any format to
the content between the tags.
- Bug Fix: DEL in collapsed mode did not reveal promoted items. When
you DELeted and item with children, MM/LX promoted these children,
but did not show them on the screen until a save.
- Bug Fix: When a new map was created in the same file, then edited,
and user returned back to the previous map and performed any edit
operation, that new map was lost. No more!!!
- Bug Fix: Long path name caused top line overflow. Fixed.
- Enhancement: Decreased the probability for crossed lines on the
screen.
- Desktop support enhanced: MsgBox in VGA mode led to wrong screen
mode.
- DEL function moved to Ctrl-DEL.
- DEL now is the same as CUT.
- Rremoved ESCQuits (obsolete).
- Explicit error for invalid links added.
- Save is now automatic.
- Demo version saves, but usage is limited to 30 days.
- Cursor keys now support different moving scheme.
- New Function: Ctrl-A aborts without saving.
- New Function: Added support for .ICN and .PCX inline images display
- New Function: ENTEREdits=0 in MM.CFG prevents ENTER key from editing
the item.
- New Function: MM/LX now creates .BAK files.
