Toshiba T4700 and T4800 - Sound Blaster-compatible sound in DOS

FYI
A note in Q110385 is, "The WSSCNFG.EXE program will only work correctly with the Microsoft Windows Sound System audio board (or 100% compatible)."
The T4700 and T4800 contain a small 'sound system board' (consisting mainly of an AD1848 Sound Controller chip).
From the factory, 'Microsoft Sound System' is one of the preinstalled pieces of software.
