TITLE:  Bravo MS and Olicom PCI 3137 Token Ring
 
 
ISSUE 
 
   When using an Olicom OC-3137 PCI Token Ring adapter in a Bravo MS 
   system, the unit may lockup after loading the 32-bit LAN driver 
   under Novell’s 32-bit DOS client. This issue only affects 
   Olicom’s 32-bit LAN driver and the following systems: 501951, 
   501952, 501954, 501955, 501956, 501972, and 503043.

ACTION 
 
   To resolve the issue, upgrade to Olicom’s Token Ring driver, 
   version 4.04, and add a NOISAPNP parameter to the OCTOK162.LAN 
   driver line, in the STARNET.BAT file. Follow the instructions 
   below:
   
   1. Copy the TRNW4X.EXE to a temporary subdirectory and 
      extract the file.
   
   2. Install the Netware Client32 program according to 
      Novell’s instructions. When prompted for a LAN driver, 
      change the driver path to the directory created in 
      step # 1.
   
   3. When the client installation is complete, modify the 
      STARTNET.BAT file located in the C:\NOVELL\CLIENT32 
      directory to add the NOISAPNP command parameter as 
      follows:
   
       C:\NOVELL\CLIENT32\OCTOK162.LAN NOISAPNP FRAME=XXX
      
       where XXX is the original token ring frame type used.
   
   4. Restart computer.
   
   This parameter will DISABLE the driver from looking for a 
   Plug-and-Play ISA card and is also not valid on earlier driver 
   versions. 
   
   Obtain the 4.04 driver, filename TRNW4X.EXE, from Olicom’s Web 
   site at the following address:
   
                     www.olicom.com
