TITLE:  Syncro Connect Office/Printing Faxes
 
 
ISSUE 
 
   When an Advantage! system prints faxes received in Syncro Connect 
   Office, the first page of the output may print correctly; 
   however, all other pages may print with black background and red 
   letters.
      
   This issue affects systems printing to the Hewlett-Packard 800 
   series printers and some Epson Inkjet printers. Other printers 
   may also be affected by this issue.

ACTION 
 
   To resolve this issue, perform the following steps:
      
   1. Download file <A HREF="FTP://FTP.AST.COM/D-OTHER/SYNCPRNT.EXE">SYNCPRNT.EXE</A> from any of AST's On-Line! 
      services as follows:
      
         AST WWW Site:  http://www.ast.com
         AST On-Line! BBS*:  See IB0001.TXT
         CompuServe:  GO: ASTFORUM
         Prodigy:   JUMP: ASTSUPPORT
      
         * Refer to IB0001.TXT for a list of AST's
           international BBS numbers.
      
         To decompress this file, create a temporary 
         directory on your hard drive, copy the downloaded 
         file to that directory, and run the file. 
      
   2. Extract the patch to a blank formatted diskette by 
      running EXTRACT.BAT located in the temporary 
      directory.  
      
   3. After extraction is complete, change to the A:\ drive 
      from the My Computer icon
           
   4. Run PRINT.BAT from the floppy disk.  
       
   5. Read the brief message that appears on the screen then
      press the space bar to continue
     
   6. The Syncro Setup Utility will run and ask you for the
      location of Syncro Office Connect.  Choose "YES" to 
      continue.
      
   7. Remove the diskette from the A: drive and click 
      "Finish" to restart the system.   
   
   8. Restart Syncro Connect Office.    
   
   This should allow any of the previously saved faxes and any 
   future faxes to be printed without errors.    

 
NOTES 
 
   This patch is for Syncro Connect Office ONLY.  
      
   Do NOT run this patch on any of the other Syncro Communications 
   software released on AST systems, such as Syncro Multimedia 
   Connect or Syncro Home.
