AST RESEARCH, INC. TECHNICAL BULLETIN # 1375 7-19-96
TITLE: Bravo MS Crystal Audio DOS/Win Drivers
SUMMARY
After choosing Windows 95 at the Dual-Boot option, the user
may be unable to run DOS-based games or other applications.
This issue affects the following system: 501815.
ISSUE
When a user chooses the Windows 95 operating system from the
Dual-Boot option on the Bravo Pentium system, the disk images for
DOS/Windows 3.x are deleted. Users who wish to run DOS games or
applications using the embedded Crystal sound at that point are
unable to acquire the drivers.
BACKGROUND
The dual install process removes all DOS-related drivers when
the user chooses Windows 95 as the operating system.
ACTION
Download the Crystal CS4232 audio drivers, version 1.30
(AST p/n 911950-035 and 911950-036) or later, and install them
following the README.TXT file instructions.
