BRAVO MS 4/66D HANGS WITH 3C590 PCI CARD


PROBLEM

The Bravo MS 4/66D system is unable to boot from the hard disk with a 
3C590 PCI ethernet adapter card installed.


CAUSE

Flaw in BIOS 2.05 and 2.07.

SOLUTION

Upgrade the system BIOS to release 3.0 or higher.  To obtain BIOS 3.0 
(AST part number 905539-312) do one of the following:

1. Contact AST Technical Support at (800) 727-1278.
2. Download file 05539312.EXE from AST's BBS (817) 230-6850, in the "Systems" 
file area.  AST's BBS supports modem speeds up to 28.8k bps.  The above file
