TITLE:  Installing Win95 on Bravo MS-T 6200
 
 
SUMMARY 
 
   The Bravo MS-T 6200 ships from the factory with the Windows NT 
   version 4.0 operating system (OS) loaded. If it becomes necessary 
   to install another operating system, such as Windows 95, the user 
   must go through additional steps after loading the operating 
   system.
   
   Because this system shipped from the factory loaded with Windows 
   NT, a non-Plug-and-Play OS, the user must first enter System 
   Setup and select the PnP OS option in CMOS. Failure to do this 
   will result in erratic system behavior.
   
   If the OS is to be installed from scratch using a CD-ROM, it will 
   be necessary to prepare a bootable floppy to load the proper 
   CD-ROM driver and MSCDEX in order for the system to access the 
   Windows 95 CD.
   
   The remaining issues will be outlined below:
   
   1. After installation, the CD-ROM cannot be 
      seen if attached to the secondary controller.
      This is caused by lack of PIIX 3 controller 
      support in the retail version of Windows 95. 
      It is necessary to apply the patch 
      IDEINFUP.EXE from Intel's ftp site at 
      ftp.intel.com/pub/patch.
   
   2. It is also necessary to download the Crystal 
      CS4232 sound drivers from AST's Web page 
      (www.ast.com) or select the standard Sound 
      Blaster drivers. They are located under 
      the Files Index, Desktop/Other section on 
      AST's Web site.
   
   3. It will be necessary to obtain the latest
      Windows 95 drivers for any other third-party 
      add-in cards from their respective 
      manufacturers.
