HP OMNIBOOK 300, 425, AND 430 - USING DYNACOMM WITH CALLING CARDS
ISSUE:HP OmniBook 300, 425, and 430 - using a calling card in
DynaComm.
SOLUTION:The following procedure describes how to use a calling
card in DynaComm on the HP OmniBook 300, 425, and 430.
USING CALLING CARDS
Calling cards may differ in the number of digits that
must be entered. The steps below are intended for a
calling card with two numeric sequences. These steps
can be easily modified as needed by repeating steps 5
and 6 below and steps 1 and 2 under Using the Function
Keys.
DEFINING THE FUNCTION KEYS
1. In DynaComm, select the Settings menu.
2. Choose Function Keys.
3. Ensure the Key Level is 4.
4. Decide which function keys you will use for the
phone number and the calling card number. For this
example, F1 is used for the phone number and F2 is
used for the calling card number.
5. Select the F1 Key Name and type in a description.
6. Select the F1 Key Command and type in ATDTxxxxxxx;^M
where xxxxxxx is the phone number. Be sure to
include the semicolon to stay in command mode.
7. Select the F2 Key Name and type in a description.
8. Select the F2 Key Command and type in ATDTxxxxxxx^M
where xxxxxxx is the calling card number. A
semicolon is not needed on the final sequence of
numbers.
9. Select OK when finished.
USING THE FUNCTION KEYS
1. Select the F1 function key by either pressing [Ctrl]
+ [Alt] + [F1] or by clicking the soft key with the
mouse.
2. When you are ready to proceed with the calling card
number, select F2 by either pressing [Ctrl] + [Alt]
+ [F2] or by clicking the soft key with the mouse.
3. DynaComm will now continue to establish the
connection.
