Wants Auto-Dial Desk Accessory

I use Interlink, and I would like a desk accessory that will handle a list of bulletin board phone numbers that you would create with Interlink's capture/edit buffer. The accessory would dial the selected number from the list in the background until it got a connection with the bulletin board, and then ring the console bell upon connection.

By doing this in the background, you could execute Arc Shell from Interlink, un-ARC the latest ST-Report, load it into Interlink's buffer, and be reading while you were waiting to get connected to the next bulletin board. We're not aware of a program that exactly matches your needs; however, there is one that comes close: DIALXR, which was published in the July 1988 issue of STLOG. DIALXR uses the ST's VT-100 emulator to repeat-dial a number while the user works with another application program. The trouble is that it won't help you much with Interlink. If there are any programmers out there who have a program that more closely matches what Larry is looking for, feel free to send it along to us for possible use in STLOG.
