APP MANAGER'S (F8) LIST FUNCTION GIVES YOU MORE PROGRAM INFORMATION

100LX

The HP 100LX Application Manager makes it easy to run programs on the new HP Palmtop. Press (&...) (More) and you get a screen full of icons (and titles) from which you can select various programs. However, many users don't notice AppManager's [F8] List option.

Press (F8) and you are presented with a list of the same applications, with additional information about each program.

AppMgr's List Display:  Graphic

The Application column lists all the programs installed in AppManager. The Status column tells you whether the programs are open or closed. The Memory column tells you how much RAM memory the programs are using at that moment. The Key column tells you what hot-key combinations will start the program. The Comments column is comments you've added to each application.

You can start any program on the List by highlighting the application and pressing (ENTER), (F5) (Open) or by typing the letter of the application name which is underlined in the icon view. If you quit Application Manager in the List mode, the next time you start APPMGR it will be in the List mode.

If you need more memory to run another application you can highlight an open application in List view and press (F6) to close it.
