READ/LX 1.0 is now available at www.dasoft.com. READ/LX 1.0 is actually
two programs in one: a "speed reader" that displays words of a text at
the same spot one after the other, which allows higher reading speeds
than with "normal" methods (where your eyes move from word to word), and a "horizontal reader", which is cabable of displaying text using a huge font. Many new features in this version such as bookmarks, file selection dialog (using PICK.EXE), and text search. Copyrighted freeware.

READ/LX is a copyrighted freeware program that lets you read an ASCII
text "on spot". This means that each word of the text is displayed for
a short while in the same position on the screen. There are claims
that this facilites much faster reading because the eyes don't
have to move across the screen to follow the words all the time.
The author is Andreas Garzotto. The program is not officially supported by D&A Software.
