Release notes for HV version 2.1 are here.
Release notes for version 2.0e:
- Added primitive support for frames.
- Long URLs in the hot list were not treated properly. Fixed.
- Fixed bug that displayed numbers on the screen when inline images
were turned on.
- Memory for fonts is now allocated in DOS instead of internally to
HV. This has the effect that the total memory HV needs to run is
increased, but it should make it less likely that HV suddenly
aborts with a "not enough memory" message.
Release notes for version 2.0d:
- Interlaced GIF images were not displayed properly in full screen
mode when higher than the screen. Fixed.
- Full screen image display now provides more visual feedback when
drawing.
- Fixed bug that displayed some pictures with less than 256 colors
really badly.
- Improved the algorithm that tries to produce a meaningful file name
for downloaded files.
- In HV.CFG, a filter can now be specified for Menu File Open
Local File. That way, for example, only .HTM files are listed.
Release notes for version 2.0c:
- Improved color mapping for GIF images.
- Added some simple zoom/pan features to full page GIF display
- Shift-COPY instead of COPY now puts the currently
selected link into the clipboard.
- Pressing COPY writes the currently selected link onto a
file in a format useful for the GET utility. WWW/LX, HV and the GET
utility can be used for offline Web browsing. Click
here to download
GET.ZIP (about 11k).
Release notes for version 2.0b:
- Fixed bug in hashing code of HV's caching algorithm (different URLs
were mapped to same code)
- Fixed bug in HV that led to index file problems when moving around
in local directory pages.
- HV now works with documents of up to 99999999 pages.
- COPY in HV puts the currently marked link into the clipboard.
- Improved display of GIF images (less memory needed, faster)
- If WWW/LX is not loaded, HV does no longer ask Spawn Viewer/Save
As, but immediately displays the image.
- HV now uses Floyd-Steinberg Error Diffusion to display GIF images.
