My main quality is a good combination of both analytical and intuitive skills. Beside that I have a strong business sense and a highly customer oriented attitude. I have worked successfully in both teams as project leader or participant, as well as alone or in a coaching role. I perform well where there is a ‘delivery pressure’ and where someone is needed to get a project under control again. I have a skill in presenting painful issues (audit results, risk analysis, etc) in a non-painful way, but still with a no-nonsense attitude.
I prefer working in a complex, ever changing function, where I can apply both my logical and intuitive skills together with my built-up knowledge of 30 years of working in many organizations – commercial, non-profit, government; for example as researcher, project leader or (project)consultant, preferably with a ‘hands on’ approach.
At secondary school I was First Prize winner of the Dutch Mathematics Olympiad, and a Dutch Science Fair prize winner. My Masters Thesis (Doctoraal scriptie) ‘An Intuitionistic Combinatory Theory Not Closed Under The Rule Of Choice’ [1977] was published in the "Proceedings of the Royal Dutch Academy of Science".
Some of my hobbies are music, law, reading, tiny computers and cycling.
Beside that I am regularly active in some committees, for example four years as treasurer of a University subsidized foundation. Currently I am web master for a small international NGO with development projects in Peru.
